Spring is in the air, and we are wrapping up our 2018 State Assessments at Anthony for Grades 3-5. Students have
been working hard and giving their best effort on these yearly assessments. As well, all of our K-5 students will be taking our AIMSWeb Benchmark Assessments at the end of April through the beginning of May. These assessments, taken 3 times per year, help measure the reading and math skills of our students. This data helps teachers plan instruction, measure growth, and let the following year’s teachers know what areas need to be addressed. Beyond assessments, we still have some great events coming at Anthony and in the school district. On Friday, April 27 the district will host its annual Art Show at the Riverfront Community Center displaying outstanding work from many Leavenworth students. Also, Anthony will be hosting its annual Talent Show in the coming weeks as well as an end of year BOGO Book Fair at the beginning of May. Lastly, we are looking forward to our last Summit Buck Party, Field Day, and Quarter 4 Awards Assembly all occurring in May. As always, please check our school website, Facebook page, and Twitter page for upcoming events and details.
Even as we approach the end of the year with many fun events going on, we want students to continue to come to school ready to learn and to finish the year strong academically. From the Anthony Staff, we hope you are having a great Spring so far, and, as always, please let us know if you have any questions.
