Principal's Message

Principal's Message

Anthony Families,
As we approach the end of the semester and are entering the Winter season, I wanted to take this opportunity to provide you some friendly reminders from the office:
If your contact information has changed since enrollment, please be sure that you have notified our Front Office so that this information can be updated in Power School.  This updated information is vital so that you receive attendance calls if a student is marked absent, in the event of a medical emergency, or if we need to reach you to discuss a matter relating to your student.

Please do remember that our doors open each morning at 7:45 when teachers are on duty.  We discourage students from being dropped off or walking to school prior to this time as there is no formal supervision until our doors open at this time.

As a reminder, students checked in between 8:10-8:40 will be marked Tardy in the Power School attendance system.  If a student arrives past the first thirty minutes of the day, this will be considered a half day absence.
Dismissal changes, unless in the event of an emergency, should be communicated to the office prior to 3:00 so that teachers can be notified and students can be sent to the correct dismissal location.

Our November Site Council and PTO Meetings have been re-scheduled for Tuesday, November 28 with 5:00 for Site Council and about 5:30 for PTO.  All stakeholders are welcome to attend.  Our December meeting is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, December 19.
With all that being said, we do want to celebrate some great activities from our students and staff.  Earlier this month, our Let Me Run leadership/teambuilding program completed their culminating race, and our coaches reported they did a great job.  Also, we had a number of students and staff participate in Veteran’s Day Festivities to honor our military veterans.  As well, many of our classes have had some outstanding projects and activities going on recently including our upcoming 5th Grade Wax Museum and various grade level family events.
Lastly, thank you for all of your participation and support during last month’s Parent-Teacher Conferences and Fall Parties.  Have a happy and safe upcoming break!
